Congratulations to all the dancers who took part in the Grading Examinations
on 3rd December at the Lithuanian Club in Bellshill.
Cara and I are delighted that all dancers passed with 1st Class Honours.
A fantastic achievement for all who took part.
Big Thank-you to all the mummies who put on a wonderful buffet for
everyone througout the day.

Congratulations on our fantastic results at the Columba Feis, fab way
to finish off an amazing year for our Academy. Well done to all the new
dancers who took part and did so well.

Congratulations to Kerri McLean winning her Championship at the Scottish Festival 2012
and to all our dancers on Saturday... our results were once again fantastic,
congrats to all our.... 1st placed dancers throughout the day and to all dancers
who won lots of medals...
Cara and I are very proud of you all

A big well done to our Sundays dancers...you all danced fab!
Big Congrats to Ariane, Lisa & Kimberley....Ariane won her NCH
as well as being Top Scot in her age group along with Kimberley being
2nd Top Scot in the same age group U12 and congrats to Lisa Townsend
who was 2nd in the U13 Championship and Top Scottish dancer.

Our London Trip - April 2011

On Thursday 28th April, a bus load of dancers/parents and friends travelled
to London to attend the South of England Championships 2011.
As the Royal Wedding was the same weekend we decided to go a day earlier to take
in the wedding celebrations. We all had a fantastic day in London with all the dancers
going on the London Eye as well as visiting all the wonderful tourist attractions. Check out our gallery

Saturday and Sunday was spent at the South of England Championships in Croydon.
Our Academy won 4 Open Championships as well as 4 Overseas Championships along with countless
Championship top 5 placings. Below are a few photographs of our wonderful trip....check out the link to
the galleries of our entire weekend.....a weekend that we will all remember for a very long time.
Special Thanks to Michelle Steen Plomer TCRG for running such a successful feis and
to her dad for being so nice to all of us. Thanks for making us so welcome x

The Maureen Onesti Academy was established in 1995, in Motherwell, by T.C.R.G. Maureen Onesti,
a fully qualified teacher.
The Maureen Onesti Academy is affiliated to Comhdháil Múinteoirí Na Rincí Gaelacha

Everyone affiliated to the Maureen Onesti Academy are proud of their success to date and Maureen is grateful to her teacher, Jean Taylor A.D.C.R.G who taught her from the age of 8 and she is delighted to have passed on many skills she was taught onto her own pupils today.

Today Maureen teaches alongside her daughter Cara Onesti ~ Cara is an assistant teacher within the Academy who will be shortly undertaking her T.C.R.G. examination, hopefully becoming a fully qualified teacher in her own right.

Classes are available to dancers of all ages and abilities throughout the West of Scotland, including Motherwell, Bellshill, Greenock, Port Glasgow and a NEW class Irvine, Ayrshire. Students of the Maureen Onesti Academy will be trained to compete at all major events in the Irish Dancing calendar, however, students may also come along to classes for enjoyment and not participate at Feiseanna.

All classes are fully insured and Maureen & Cara Onesti and assistants have fulfilled the requirements of the Enhanced Disclosure Check for Scotland.
Maureen is also a fully qualified First Aider as well as a qualifed I.O.S.H Health & Safety Vetting Officer.
The Maureen Onesti Academy is affiliated to Comhdháil Múinteoirí Na Rincí Gaelacha

Maureen says.......

"We aim to teach and treat every child within the school as an 'individual' and strive to perfect their Irish Dancing Skills from Beginners through to Championship Standard, in a fun, caring, friendly and safe environment. There is no better feeling in the World than having taught a child their very first steps and then that child succeeds into becoming a Champion.......knowing you are partly responsible for this is just the best feeling ever,
our Academy motto is ~ We're all in this together ~ and I truly believe in this as they are all Stars
